As the Years Go Passing By

Gary Moore sings the songAs the Years Go Passing By”.  It is such a sultry, romatinc and excellent blues song. And, I will always love the blues.

Gary Moore was a very talented guitar player, a true wunderkind.  His voice is excellent. Unfortunately, on February 6th, 2011, he passed away. He is recognized as one of the finest guitarists that the British Isles has ever produced. If you listen to this song that he wrote, you can easily get lost in his superb guitar playing. But you might also be drawn in by the smooth piano that is played by the late great Nicky Hopkins. A true gift as well.

Gary Moore (4 April 1952 – 6 February 2011) was a Northern Irish musician and singer-songwriter. Over the course of his career, Moore played in various groups and performed many different styles of music, including blues, hard rock, heavy metal and jazz fusion. But I especially love how he performs this song – Gary Moore – As the Years Go Passing By.  Indeed, he sings the song with such soul that you can’t help but feel emotion pouring out of him and into you.

As The Years Go Passing By Mixed Media Abstract

I titled this mixed media abstract “As the Years Go Passing By” for its distant and dreamy feeling. Where in time, all our expereicences seem to become blurred into one representation. Indeed, as the years pass, I am coming to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our normal everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. Life’s everyday experiences can make our heart soar and find peace within. For instance, the pure air to breathe, the strength to breath it, having a few true friends, music to listen to, and the opportunity to enjoy the bright sunshine surrounded by nature are all blessings we should give thanks for.

So, if you like the blues and want to listen to an excellent artist, I highly recommend this particular song, sung by Moore. For I truly believe, music helps to make sense of the confusion in this life. Music is medicine for the head and heart. Music – no cover charge, no membership fees, just a continuous freedom of expression.
