Raspberry Beret Acrylic Abstract. Raspberry Beret is one of those fun uplifting pop songs. A song that will get you up and moving as soon as you hear it. The song was written and performed by Prince. Additionally, it was the lead single from Prince & The Revolution’s 1985 album “Around the World in a Day”.
This song definitely has an upbeat pop rock feel. If you listen to the lyrics, you can visualize the story. For it describes a girl in a raspberry colored beret. Of course, you can also feel the lust and attraction the singer feels towards her.
Even, the lyrics tells how a young man is captivated by a young lady who comes into the store where he is a lowly employee. The girl of course is wearing a vintage Raspberry beret that she purchased at a second-hand store.
Did you know a beret is a European style of hat that is a soft, visorless cap with a close-fitting headband and a wide, round top often with a tab at its center? A fun hat to wear for sure.

Once I completed this painting, my mind floated back to Prince signing Raspberry Beret. Hence, I had to name this acrylic painting so. If you want to listen to this poppy upbeat song, here is a link to it:
