Reoccurring Facets
The story of this painting has a couple of different facets to it. After I created this painting, I did not title it, nor photograph it for posting to my website or Facebook page as I usually do. Instead it just hung on a wall away from my sight for several months. Then just recently, I took it down and decided it needed a redo. In other words, the painting needed a second chance to live – to reoccur.
As an artist, there are so many different facets of painting that there is always something to learn. I think that a natural instinct as an artist is that you want to just keep exploring techniques and finding different unique facets to bring your creations to life. I continue to explore my artistic abilities and seek further into myself to discover new and exciting expressions of my art.
This painting is an expression of my artistic facets, but the painting itself with its many sided aspects of color, direction and shapes represents how different facets can come together as one.
