In the Forest

Oh, the Forest. Some of my most gratifying and spiritual times are my walks in the forest. I see the sun shining through the trees, with its brilliant gleam bouncing on the leaves or bringing light to the footpaths that I traverse. I smell the clean air as I perhaps sit alongside a trickle of a stream. I jump over small puddles of water as I wind my way to one of my favorite trees. And I definitely hear the sounds of the forest. I delight in hearing the cardinals, the wrens, and even the daring blue jays live their life. I especially love hearing the hawks screech through the forest trees and watch the many forest animals that dare to show themselves to me.
