Our life’s experiences can be considered a mosaic of emotion. We are infinite in our abilities, feelings, and characteristics. Pieces that often seem independent, in time reveal their connections. We experience a breathtaking mosaic of challenges and emotions in our life’s journey.

This painting titled “Mosaic of Emotion” was created with mostly palette knives and a couple of soft brushes to blend the edges for a smooth appearance. The painting with its many facets of color, angles, textures, directions and light represent a mosaic that is life, where unplanned actions and unknown directions evolve into a complete picture.

Even the colors in this painting reveal emotions.

Yellow– represents our caution in life to express ourselves, but if we give our expressions a chance we can bring brightness and happiness to others

Orange– our source of happiness that inspires us to find our dreams and purpose in life – spiritual wealth

Red– the passion to create and experience life with zest

White– dignity, purity and creative thinking

Brown– we need to always be in touch with nature

Black– our maturity as we age and to recognize that life will always have some rough and challenging times

If you notice the painting is surrounded by white with touches of gray because I believe even with difficulties, all of our emotions will culminate into something positive and good.  For we all are just a small shard in the grand mosaic of life; but with that one piece missing, the mosaic is incomplete. A single experience or emotion can make us feel broken, like a piece of tile or glass; but when they are put together with our other life experiences, they create something beautiful and richer.
