As an artist, especially as an artist, I am often working to improve my skills, my craft and my unique art. Indeed, I do experience challenging times, where a painting just doesn’t seem to represent me. For, I find myself redoing and redoing the painting with different textures and approaches. Sometime this works; sometimes not so much. But, I do believe I learn more during these times. Even if, I don’t always enthusiastically accept the challenge; I never give up.

I often discover the difficulties were created through me not allowing myself to be me. Often the best thing I can do is not think, not obsess, not try so hard. Just breathe and believe in me and allow the true me to be conveyed on the canvas.
This painting has many layers representing different challenges. We are not simplistic in our thinking and being; we are molded by our many challenging experiences. For I believe, every challenge really is a blessing in disguise, and you will come out stronger than ever.
