Ask me about my childhood summers, and I will recall the choir of crickets chirping, the hot humid night air filled with the smell of honeysuckle; but what brought me such glee was watching the fireflies dance upon the warm wind while offering a light of playfulness and hope. Oh, the summer nights have a smile of light as the fireflies twinkle and dim. I could get lost watching the dance of hundreds of fireflies twinkling on and off in the darkness.

Can you picture these tiny specks of living light twinkling in the dark?  Perhaps you call them lightening bugs. No matter whether they are known as fireflies or lightening bugs, they dazzle the night with tiny magical messages of hope. Do you feel the sense of comfort and calm they offer us? It is such a delight to experience the sparkling dance of the fireflies darting upward in a glow of light and dropping earthward like falling stars to entertain us with nature’s festival of flickering lights.
