“Mist to mist, drops to drops. For water thou art, and unto water shalt thou return.” ― Kamand Kojouri

Oh, how important our oceans are to humans. Oceans are the lifeblood of planet Earth and humankind. They flow over nearly three-quarters of our planet and hold 97% of our planet’s water. It’s consider the blue heart of the planet — we should take care of our heart. Oceans produce more than half of the oxygen in the atmosphere and absorb the most carbon from it. Oceans shape climate and weather. They occupy nearly 71% of our planet’s surface and the top ten feet of the ocean hold as much heat as our entire atmosphere. Oceans provide 99 percent of the Earth’s living space – the largest space in our universe known to be inhabited by living organisms. More than 90% of this habitat exists in the deep sea known as the abyss and less than 10% of this living space has been explored by humans. Oceans are what make life possible for us; the cornerstone of earth’s life support system.

“Water is such a lifesaver into which we cannot breathe but without taking it into us we cannot live” ― Munia Khan

This painting titled “Aqua Mist” has a soothing soft green palette with some light hearted purple accents while providing some mystery to what might reside beneath the waters.
