For me, it seems the Blues is always on fire. For, I truly think Blues Music has so much soul and conveys such intense emotion one cannot help but feel something while listening to it.

Blue on Fire Acrylic Abstract by Red, Gallery Wrap Canvas, 40 x 40, In Room Setting with Chair and OttomanThis is especially true with the song written by Israeli guitarist Andy Watts titled “Blues on Fire”. Andy Watts has devoted his life to playing the blues. Additionally, the Blues Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy nominee, Joe Louis Walker is featured on vocals for this song. And man does he nail his performance.

The song is a slow, soulful one, that has a rich horn section and a full-bodied Hammond organ. Walker’s impassioned singing is complimented by Watts’s equally impassioned responses between verses. Andy’s playing is subtle and understated allowing all the other instruments space to shine, and shine they do. I especially like the refrain “Keep My Blue on Fire”.

A Colorful Acrylic Abstract

This fairly large colorful acrylic painting with its intertwine of shades of blue and green that seem to come even more alive with the pop of oranges, yellows and vibrant reds just seemed to scream “Blues on Fire”.
