Edges and Ledges

This painting brings back memories of my Colorado hikes. I would often come across beautiful tall slate and granite rocks sculptured with many facets of edges and ledges. Each edge or ledge going in a different direction and reflecting various colors. Some of the ledges were large enough to climb upon and look down upon canyon or valley. The edges and ledges of this painting were created through the use of different size palette knives and blending of the colors with my brushes.
