Before I begin a painting, I give thought to the size canvas that I want to paint on and perhaps select a few colors to begin the piece with. I might even have some very vague ideas on a feeling I want to convey, but most of my paintings are created by doing. By being in the moment and letting my inner spirit connect with the canvas. My thoughts and ideas flow from my unconscious to evolve into the abstract expressionism. I am much happier with the outcome when I allow my creativity to be led by connecting with something deeper than my consciences thoughts.
