The sky is entertaining us this evening with an intense pink sunset. Can you picture yourself unwinding from the day’s activities with perhaps a glass of wine? Mine of course would be red.

Maybe you have the pleasure to experience the evening near a lake, pond or just from your own backyard.

But no matter if you are in the mountains, along the beach, in the high-desert or just driving home from work, the magnificent colors dancing in the evening sky capture your attention. The striking evening hues fill the heavens with intense pink, orange and red with a smattering of white and blue.

Staring out into the horizon as the sun slowly disappears, I stop to reflect and appreciate the symbolism of the sunset. For the evening is a reminder of how life is both simple and beautiful as every sunset; but more importantly, it is fragile and precious.
