Iron & Ice – SOLD

 In Abstracts, Red's Art, Sold

Iron and Ice, two seemly unrelated elements, yet each can evoke a powerful message as expressed in the following quotes:

“Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.” – William Butler Yeats

“Have a dream, chase it down, jump over every single hurdle, and run through fire and ice to get there.” – Whitney Wolfe

“Iron rusts from disuse; water loses its purity from stagnation… even so does inaction sap the vigor of the mind.” – Leonardo da Vinci

These two paintings with their appearance of coolness from the white, turquoise, light blue colors (the ice) and their strength through the grays and black (the iron) provide a story that ice can be as strong as iron. It is what you do with the two elements that determine their strength. We often wait for the perfect moment to happen or the right day to come about. But I say, “Don’t wait for your ice to melt away or the iron to rust, make your move and make something happen. Break the ice, strike the iron and begin.”

These paintings are very versatile and can be displayed in many views and even on the diagonal as shown below. They are small but inviting.
