Oh, let me experience Wildflower Bliss. For I truly become excited when I see wildflowers. They can be along the side of the road, gracing mountain sides, adding beauty to the meadows, or accenting the forest paths. For it doesn’t matter, wildflowers have a magic that I can’t resist.

Similarly, wildflowers are definitely a positive reminder that through concrete, dried out soil, freezes, massive winds, or even flooding, the wildflower not only grows and flourishes, but shines with such beauty. In fact, wildflowers just seem to grow wherever they want. No one plants them, but still they exist. Additionally, they even find new places to grow as the wind carries their seeds away.

Can’t you just visualize all those bright color blooms? Perhaps you have picked a posy of wildflowers – harebell, bindweed, campion, and bladderwort. Hence, there are such an endless variety of pretty wildflowers: stitchwort, ragwort, silverweed, lady’s purse, cinquefoil and more. Maybe you envision the delicate flowers nodding as their petals and leaves are disturbed by the gentle breeze blowing against them.

Indeed, I don’t think Wildflowers are meant to be tamed. No, I think they are meant to be loved & admired. For they are a stunning field of color and life inviting you to enjoy their glory.

Wildflower Bliss Oil Painting

This oil painting titled “Wildflower Bliss” reminds me of  Tom Petty’s Wildflowers Song. Especially, the first line “You belong among the wildflowers”.  For I truly feel alive and will always cherish my memories when I was carefree and among the wildflowers. So let your inner self shine and enjoy the magic of the wildflower’s beauty. Just think how they have eluded fires and drought and freezes to continue to thrive. Oh, to live my life as a wildflower – to prevail and continue to grow through life’s challenges.

And it wouldn’t seem right if I didn’t include some of my favorite wildflower quotes in this artist talk.

“Like wildflowers; you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would” – E.V.

“Wildflowers can’t be controlled, and neither can the girl with a soul boundless as the sky, and a spirit as free and wild as the ocean.”
 Melody Lee, Moon Gypsy

“Love is like wildflowers; It’s often found in the most unlikely places.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson.

“Magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars?”- Nora Roberts.

“There is poetry among the wildflowers’.” – Rachel Irene Stevenson

“No matter what conditions look like around you—keep on believing, keep on persisting—keep on going—keep on growing. Just like wildflowers grow wherever they choose, no matter the conditions—be and be becoming all that you were created to be and become.” Sandra C Bibb

To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wildflower.”
– William Blake.
