Visionaries not only believe that the impossible can be done, but that it must be done.

Actually, meditation, drugs, lucid dreams, daydreams, or art can place one in a visionary state. I like the art aspect. In fact, through the years, a specific form of art called visionary art has existed. Furthermore, visionary art is art that purports to transcend the physical world. It portrays a wider vision of awareness including spiritual or mystical themes. For instance, the animal and human hybrid drawings and paintings found on cave walls, the ancient shamanic art, or the ritual masks of the African culture are earliest examples of this type of art.

Visionary Art – Inner Truths

Visionary art often carries themes of spiritual, mystical or inner awareness. Since the dawn of art, artists have attempted to reach and to show what the eyes don’t see, but the inner voice or the soul comprehend.

In fact, the artist attempts to make inner truths visible, audible, or sensible in some way, by manifesting them in the external, material world (through drawing, painting, song, etc.). To produce their finest works, artists lose themselves in the flow of creation from their inner worlds. This painting named “Fleeting Visions” has an illusionary feeling like my dreams are floating in front of me, calling me to reach out and make them real. Regardless of whether you like visionary art, I believe we all can be a little visionary and envision our own future. For to see it, feel it, we can make our visons a realty and not just fleeting images.
