Reflections is a painting where I experimented with a couple of new techniques. If you look closely at the painting, you will see it has layers of various colors. These layers were a result of slowly adding water to specific parts of the canvas then adding paint and manipulating the direction I wanted the paint to move across the canvas. I then added additional layers of thick colors and worked in some water to expand and intermingle the paint with each other.
I left the top and bottom of the painting surrounded with soft hues of white that have other colors softly reflecting through.
So after serious thought and consideration of the outcome of this painting, I named it Reflections.
Life is only a reflection of what we allow ourselves to see.
