Do your day moods affect your night thoughts? For the night is a world lit by itself according to Antonio Porchia, an Argentinian poet.( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Porchia)

Night Thoughts Contemporary Abstract by Red, Room View, 48x24, Oil, Gallery Wrap Canvas

As the night arrives and sleep with it, do you put your thoughts away for the evening or do they come to the forefront demanding for some attention? For there may be darkness, but my mind seems to be shining with an abundance of thoughts.  To tell the truth, my subconscious thoughts often awaken me, allowing no rest to come. Only a stream of endless and various thoughts. Thoughts of problems to solve, thoughts of unaccomplished tasks or thoughts of new challenges to tackle. Just a few to say the least. All these thoughts swirl around in my mind like pieces of a puzzle for me to solve.

For I truly believe the quote by the Nobel Prize winner in Literature 1978 Isaac Bashevis Singer “Night is a time of rigor, but also of mercy. There are truths which one can see only when it’s dark.” (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/14444.Isaac_Bashevis_Singer).

Fragments of the day’s or week’s activities come to the surface during the night for some thoughtful attention, often revealing insight and truth. Just as each diverse stroke and direction in this painting titled “Night Thoughts” reveals a conglomeration of thought that eventually evolves into a complete picture. With each stroke, one moves deeper and deeper into the shadows of the night.

Do you believe this quote: “Night is the mother of thoughts” – John Florio, First Frutes? I surely do.
